Shukurbayli: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inspected new facilities established in private houses in Shukurbayli village. The visit took place on May 9, as reported by APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the head of state and the First Lady were briefed on the latest developments in the village, which is part of a larger resettlement initiative. The plan involves relocating 2,522 people, equivalent to 615 families, from the villages of Shikhaliaghali and Dajal, as well as the Mahmudlu settlement, to Shukurbeyli. In the initial phase, 635 private houses have been commissioned, with 615 reserved for residents and 20 allocated for service use. These houses range from two to five rooms.
The village has undertaken several measures to ensure residents have comfortable living conditions and that social issues are addressed. Facilities constructed include two kindergartens with a capacity of 80 seats each, a medical point, a music school, a club-community center, and an administrative building for local executive authorities.
Additionally, a 35/10 kV electrical substation has been built to support the village's infrastructure. Residents now have access to electricity, natural gas, drinking water, and communication lines, along with high-speed internet and IP TV services. All roads in the village have been asphalted to improve transportation and connectivity.
