Baku: President Ilham Aliyev participated in the official opening ceremony of Baku Energy Week.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev also held discussions with a U.S. delegation led by the Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy, and Business Affairs. During these discussions, President Aliyev expressed gratitude to Donald Trump for the memorandum on the extension of the waiver of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.
In a separate development, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) reported that 284 mines and 1,537 unexploded ordnances (UXOs) were neutralized over the past month. Additionally, the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) celebrated the first production of non-associated gas from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field.
Another significant event included a shipment sent to Armenia in transit through the territory of Azerbaijan, highlighting ongoing regional cooperation. In the legal sphere, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Supreme Courts of Azerbaijan and Kenya to strengthen judicial collaboration.
Discussions between Azerbaijan and Iran focused on measures to ensure the security of their state border. Furthermore, the Speaker of Azerbaijan's Parliament commenced a working visit to Serbia, aiming to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.
