Baku: President Ilham Aliyev announced that 2025 marked the political conclusion of the Azerbaijan-Armenia war. In an interview with local television channels on January 5, he highlighted that the past year could be considered historic, as Azerbaijan has been experiencing peaceful conditions for several months.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev stated, "Living in conditions of peace-what does that mean? We are learning it," emphasizing the significance of Azerbaijan's victory on the battlefield which has been internationally recognized. He noted that this achievement would remain a notable event in Azerbaijan's history of independence. The president expressed confidence that the people of Azerbaijan would continue to live in peace, considering the previous year both successful and historic for the country and its citizens.
