KALBAJAR — President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan attended the opening of the new 'Istisu' substation on September 2, operated by 'Azerishig' OJSC, as reported by APA. The substation is designed to support the energy needs of the 'Istisu' sanatorium and mineral water plant in the Kalbajar district.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Vugar Ahmadov, Chairman of 'Azerishig' OJSC, briefed President Aliyev on the capabilities of the new facility, which includes two 40 MVA transformers and modern switchgear bays designed to enhance the region’s power supply reliability. The integration with other substations is expected to establish a comprehensive 110 kV circular electricity supply scheme. The inauguration signifies a significant step in improving infrastructure and utility services in the area.
