President Ilham Aliyev Meets Goldman Sachs Global Affairs Leader in Baku

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev recently hosted Jared Cohen, the President of Global Affairs at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., as reported by Trend. The meeting revisited the productive discussions held earlier in January in Davos, highlighting the longstanding and successful collaboration between Azerbaijan and Goldman Sachs since 2010. This partnership is notably marked by the engagement between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the financial institution.

According to Trend News Agency, the discussion also addressed the recent developments on August 8 in Washington, supported by the U.S. President, which have contributed to advancing the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia. These developments are seen as promising for the comprehensive development of the region, offering new opportunities for growth and cooperation.

The meeting further explored potential avenues for future collaboration between Azerbaijan and Goldman Sachs. Established in 1869, Goldman Sachs is a prominent global financial institution that provides a range of services in investment and consumer banking, securities, and asset management.
