Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye, on September 15. Hakan Fidan conveyed greetings from President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to President Aliyev, who expressed his gratitude and asked for his regards to be passed on to President Erdogan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during their conversation, the leaders praised the successful development of the brotherly and strategic alliance between Azerbaijan and Trkiye. They expressed satisfaction with the strengthening of cooperation under the principle of "one nation, two states."

The discussion also covered the importance of energy cooperation, with both sides exchanging views on new routes to international alternative energy markets. The logistical significance of Azerbaijan and Trkiye, serving as a bridge between Europe and Asia, was highlighted. The importance of coordinating activities within international organizations was also noted.

The meeting included an exchange of views on prospects for bilateral relations, regional issues, and other matters of mutual interest.
