President Ilham Aliyev Sends Condolences to Iran Over Ayatollah Khamenei’s Death

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, President Aliyev expressed his sorrow over the tragic death of Ayatollah Seyid Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran. In his letter, President Aliyev conveyed his deepest condolences to President Pezeshkian, the family of the deceased, and the people of Iran, acknowledging the significant role Ayatollah Khamenei played in the country's state and societal affairs.

President Aliyev highlighted Ayatollah Khamenei's special place in Iran's political and religious life and recognized his death as a significant loss for the nation.
