President of Azerbaijan Criticizes OSCE Minsk Group’s Efforts in Karabakh Conflict

New york: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has declared that the OSCE Minsk Group, created to facilitate a settlement of the Karabakh conflict, has failed in its mission. He made this assertion during his speech at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his dissatisfaction with the group's efforts, emphasizing that instead of enforcing the norms and principles of international law, the co-chairs of the group focused on preserving the status quo and keeping the conflict frozen. The OSCE Minsk Group was established in 1992 with the aim of facilitating a peaceful resolution to the Karabakh conflict.
