Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has highlighted the global recognition of the Zangezur corridor as an important development in transportation projects. During a meeting focused on transportation issues, he emphasized that the initiative for the Zangezur corridor was proposed by Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev stated that the concept of the Zangezur corridor gained international attention following Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh War. He noted that the term has become widely accepted in international terminology. President Aliyev also confirmed that Azerbaijan is actively working toward the implementation and opening of this corridor.
