Presidential Aide Announces 700 Million Manats Investment Under State Program

Sabirabad: Investment under the State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fisheries, and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030 will amount to approximately 700 million manats, as announced by Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President and Head of the Territorial and Organizational Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the announcement came during a regional meeting in Sabirabad. The meeting was part of a series of discussions held across 13 economic zones following the approval of the State Program by President Ilham Aliyev on May 25, 2026. This approval was part of a broader initiative to address agricultural issues in Azerbaijan, focusing on food security, productivity improvement, and import reduction.

Naghdaliyev reported that since June 12, 2026, 4,565 individuals have participated in the program's discussions, including 350 representatives from central executive authorities, 3,608 leaders of large farms, agro-parks, and processing enterprises, as well as 607 local authority heads.

During these meetings, 51 leaders from large farms and agro-parks expressed their support for the President's initiatives, putting forward 72 proposals aimed at enhancing various agricultural sectors, including crop and livestock production, fruit and poultry farming, fisheries, and rice cultivation. The proposed initiatives are expected to attract an investment of approximately 700 million manats, signaling a significant commitment to advancing the country's agricultural capabilities.
