President’s Zangilan Messages Serve as Stern Warning to Armenian Revanchists

Baku: The messages delivered by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev from Zangilan serve as a warning to revanchists in Armenia, according to Rizvan Nabiyev, a member of the International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations Committee of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. These remarks were made during today's parliamentary session, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, MP Rizvan Nabiyev emphasized that President Aliyev's speech during his meeting with residents of Zangilan is a strategic manifesto reflecting new geopolitical realities and Azerbaijan's foreign policy direction. This development is rooted in the statehood struggle initiated during the leadership of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Nabiyev highlighted the significance of the messages, considering Zangilan's location within the East Zangezur economic region, which was liberated from occupation. He underscored that Zangezur's division, with its western part transferred to Armenia on November 30, 1920, is a historical fact that has been used as a pressure tool against Azerbaijan.

Nabiyev further noted that the timing of the President's messages, which come just days before the June 7 parliamentary elections, is crucial. These messages are directed not only at external forces but also at political circles in Armenia, particularly the revanchists. The President's communication underscores Azerbaijan's real military power and pragmatic policy, carrying an unequivocal character.

Moreover, Nabiyev mentioned that France, having lost influence in Africa and the Middle East, is seeking new geopolitical activity zones and is attempting to penetrate the South Caucasus. This effort comes amid France's leadership facing a significant domestic influence loss. He criticized the Armenian government's attempt to replace its historical role as an outpost with a policy that makes it a platform for French neocolonialism. Despite the French President's assertion that the South Caucasus should not become an arena for imperial competition, France is pursuing a policy of militarizing Armenia. Nabiyev suggested that there is still time for Armenia to learn from history, abandon the search for patrons, and align its policies with the new political realities established by Azerbaijan.
