Khankendi: Private investors have injected 65 million manats into the Karabakh region, leading to the creation of 3,000 new jobs. Currently, over 22,000 people reside in more than 19 restored settlements in the Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts. Among them, over 4,000 are internally displaced persons, as stated by Elchin Yusubov, the representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for these districts, during his speech at the “III Azerbaijan National Urban Planning Forum” in Khankendi.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Yusubov emphasized the priority of ensuring employment in the region. The investment by private entities has facilitated job creation, addressing the employment needs of the local population. Efforts are being made to ensure sustainable employment by analyzing arable land and coordinating with relevant agencies to allocate land for villagers’ use. In Ballija, villagers have begun utilizing distributed arable land, a step towards securing long-term employment for residents.
