Khankendi: Work is underway for the relocation to the Karkijahan settlement of Khankendi city, said Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi, and the Aghdara and Khojaly districts, Elchin Yusubov, during his speech at the ‘3rd Azerbaijan National Urban Forum’ held in Khankendi, APA-Economics’ correspondent dispatched to Khankendi reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Yusubov emphasized that the Forum held in Khankendi serves as an important platform for discussing international cooperation, green energy, and sustainable development principles, which will contribute to the future development of Karabakh. The forum is a traditional event that began several years ago, based on an initiative jointly proposed by Azerbaijan and the UN’s specialized agency, UN-Habitat.

The Forum’s significance is highlighted by its role in bringing together various stakeholders, including government entities, the private sector, non-governmental organizations, academic circles, architects, and experts. They gather to discuss current urban planning issues and present solutions. The first two meetings of the Forum were traditionally held in Aghdam and Zangilan, while this year’s event is being held both in Baku and Khankendi.
