BAKU – President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan for a state visit, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Russian leader was greeted at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by a guard of honor and a lineup of senior Azerbaijani officials including First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov. The airport was adorned with the national flags of Russia and Azerbaijan, symbolizing the diplomatic ties between the two nations. The visit, as reported by RIA Novosti, is scheduled to last for two days and aims to strengthen bilateral relations.
