Montoire: Ritm Dance Group of Azerbaijan is representing the country at the International Festival of Folklore in Montoire, France. Established in 1973, the Montoire World Folklore Festival is a major cultural event that brings together folk ensembles from across the world. Celebrating diverse musical and dance traditions, the festival seeks to foster intercultural dialogue, build bridges between cultures, and strengthen friendship and understanding among peoples.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, each year, around ten folklore ensembles from five continents gather in Montoire, with nearly 250 volunteers supporting the festival. The program features concerts, exhibitions, workshops, cuisine and craft presentations, and street events. The festival now attracts around 20,000 visitors annually, up from 9,000 in 1973. Humanitarian projects are another important area of the festival's activities. Over the years, the organization has supported humanitarian initiatives in Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru, Lebanon, Romania, and Afghanistan. It has also contributed agricultural equipment to local communities in Ecuador and supported the construction of a school in Peru.

Founded in 2011, the 'Ritm' Dance Group promotes Azerbaijani national dances both domestically and internationally. The group has represented Azerbaijan in several countries, including Georgia, Trkiye, the United States, China, Switzerland, and Germany. Its performance at the 'Basel Dance Festival 2026' drew strong interest, showcasing Azerbaijani culture through traditional music, costumes, and dance.

The participation of the dance group in the Montoire Festival highlights Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage on the international stage. The festival will run until August 16.
