Construction of road of 23 km without entering to Lachin, liberated from the occupation, is being started, said Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Operation and Maintenance of the Azerbaijan Automobile Roads State Agency Hidayat Rustamov in a briefing dedicated to “the work implemented during 6 months of 2021 and the tasks ahead”, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the alternative new road, built without entering Lachin, will have two lanes: “Currently, the road going to the Lachin city is under the control of the Russian peacekeepers. For this purpose, in order to ensure comfortable movement, we have started the construction of the round road in the length of 23 km without entering Lachin city”.
- Rustamov noted that it is forecasted to develop new projects in this direction in the future, and the public will be informed in detail.
