MOSCOW: Russia is reviewing a proposal for the resumption of a grain deal facilitated by Turkey, following previous unsuccessful attempts to reach an agreement that satisfied Moscow’s conditions, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated. The proposal is currently under examination by Russian officials, who will formulate their positions before reporting to President Vladimir Putin.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Peskov informed reporters that President Putin acknowledged the receipt of an unofficial draft document from Turkey. This document outlines a possible renewed discussion on the grain deal, which Russian agencies and specialists are now scrutinizing.

Peskov emphasized the shortcomings of past agreements, indicating that they did not fulfill Russia’s expectations. He noted that essential actions were not completed in previous attempts, underscoring the need for a more favorable outcome in any future negotiations.
