“Sanctions require consolidation and unity of society,” said Russian President Vladimir Putin at an online meeting with newly-election heads of regions, APA’s correspondent in Moscow reports.

Russian President has also added that sanctions require aid to new regions of the Russian Federation as well.

Putin has noted that sanctions should be used for development of new technologies for the sake of interests of strengthening the sovereignty of the country.
