Saudi Official Highlights Increasing Gulf Tourism to Azerbaijan

Baku: Saudi representative Hasan Alattas has highlighted the growing influx of tourists from Gulf countries to Azerbaijan. Speaking at the 'Designing Development Programs in Conflict Zones' event during WUF13, Alattas emphasized the longstanding and robust relations between Saudi Arabia and Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Alattas, an official from the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program, mentioned that Saudi Arabia, via the Saudi Development Fund, has executed several projects in Azerbaijan, focusing on water supply, healthcare, and road infrastructure. He remarked on the strong ties and coordination between the two nations, noting that the Saudi energy minister visited Azerbaijan during the COVID-19 pandemic period. Last year, both countries committed to further enhancing their cooperation.

Alattas also pointed out the growing tourism collaboration with Azerbaijan, noting the increasing number of Saudi tourists visiting the country. He described Azerbaijan as a beautiful and safe destination with hospitable people. The flow of tourists from all Gulf countries to Azerbaijan is on the rise, which is seen as a significant boost for Azerbaijan's economy.
