Baku: The period of active military service for warrant officers and midshipmen is being increased, APA reports. In accordance with the requirements of Article 12, paragraph ‘q’, and Article 38.1.4 of the ‘Regulation on Military Service’ and the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan ‘On Military Duty and Military Service’, the period of active military service in peacetime for all warrant officers and midshipmen has been set at 5 years.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this extension in service terms is a significant development in the military regulations of Azerbaijan.
