Baku: Tom Taraba, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environment of Slovakia, expressed Slovakia's strong support for UN-Habitat's sustainable urban resilience initiative during the Leaders' Statements at the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku. He emphasized the importance of addressing the challenges posed by climate change, demographic pressure, economic inequality, and military conflicts that many cities face globally.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Taraba highlighted that the initiative is a practical platform aimed at increasing urban climate resilience and strengthening infrastructure. He reiterated Slovakia's readiness to contribute to efforts focused on recovery and long-term renewal and revitalization of urban areas.
