Baku: Trkiye's involvement in the 'Caspian-Black Sea-Europe' Green Energy Corridor project, slated for phased implementation starting in 2032, marks a significant step in energy collaboration, Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov announced at the 5th Azerbaijan-Trkiye Energy Forum.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Shahbazov highlighted that advancing regional cooperation in electricity aligns with the Shusha Declaration's guidelines. The development of energy corridors is deemed strategically crucial for regional energy security.

Shahbazov noted the expanding role of Turkish companies in Azerbaijan's green energy initiatives. He pointed out that 42 power plants under construction in Azerbaijan's liberated territories are expected to be operational by the year's end.

The minister further mentioned ongoing measurement and assessment work with a Turkish company for a 204 MW wind power plant in Kalbajar. Shahbazov stressed that for Azerbaijan, partnering with Trkiye is a strategic priority in their pursuit of a clean energy future.
