Trkiye’s Right to Pursue Ankara Attack Perpetrators Affirmed by Pentagon

ANKARA: Trkiye has the right to hold those responsible for the recent terror attack in Ankara accountable, the Pentagon stated on Thursday. The assertion came in the wake of Turkish military operations targeting terror groups in northern Iraq and Syria.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh conveyed to reporters that Trkiye is justified in its actions to pursue the perpetrators of the attack. Her comments followed Turkish airstrikes that targeted 47 terror sites, resulting in the “neutralization” of 59 PKK/YPG terrorists, including two leaders of the group.

The Pentagon also extended its condolences to the families affected by the attack, signaling support for Trkiye’s efforts to address terrorism within its borders. The remarks underline the ongoing security cooperation between the United States and Trkiye in combating terrorism in the region.
