US Diesel Agreement Set to Boost Russian Oil Production, Says Novak

Moscow:Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that the easing of US restrictions on diesel fuel exports from Russia is expected to positively impact the Russian economy. His remarks were made during Russian Energy Week.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Novak emphasized that the agreement will lead to increased refining volumes at Russian oil refineries and boost production, ultimately resulting in additional tax revenues and investment opportunities for the country's oil and gas industry.

He also mentioned that the agreements will allow for supplies to be delivered to global markets, including the United States. Novak projected that Russia could increase its supply volumes to 3-3.5 million tons by the end of the year, which would represent more than 10% of the global market.
