Baku: In a recent announcement at the 3rd Industrial Safety Summit, BP’s Vice President for the Caspian Region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, shared significant figures regarding the production of oil and gas from the “Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli” (ACG) block, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Aslanbayli highlighted that approximately 60 billion cubic meters of associated gas from the ACG block have been transferred to the state at no cost. This substantial contribution underscores the ongoing collaboration between BP and Azerbaijan in energy production.

Aslanbayli further stated that BP’s operations in Azerbaijan have resulted in the production of 4.5 billion barrels of oil from the ACG project. This milestone reflects BP’s long-term commitment and operational success in the region.

In addition to the achievements within the ACG block, Aslanbayli noted that 257 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced under the ‘Shah Deniz’ gas-condensate project. These figures highlight the significant role BP plays in the energy sector of Azerbaijan.

The Vice President also emphasized BP’s dedication to safety, noting that the company has been operating in Azerbaijan for 33 years with a focus on maintaining safe practices in its activities.
