Baku: Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev highlighted the importance of the Zangezur corridor at the Trans-Caspian International Transport Corridor Forum. Participating in a panel discussing the Comprehensive Coordination Agenda for Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and the Black Sea Region, the minister shared insights in a social media post, as reported by APA-Economics.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Minister Nabiyev identified key challenges facing major corridor projects, such as differences in border standards, limited digitalization, and infrastructure gaps. He emphasized Azerbaijan’s strategic location, stability, and economic diversification, describing the country as a reliable and attractive investment destination. The minister further explained that the Zangezur corridor is expected to provide a sustainable, fast, and cost-effective connection between Europe and Central Asia. Additionally, the development of the Middle Corridor was noted as a promising and effective model for the region.
