Baku: Zhejiang Province is ready to establish a regular communication mechanism with Azerbaijani state departments, enterprises, and chambers of commerce regarding the operation of regular trains and the creation of industrial and logistics parks, said Zhejiang Deputy Governor Ke Ketsin at an event held within the framework of the 5th anniversary of the European Railway Express route and the welcoming ceremony of the 237th train (Yivu - Baku) passing through the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, APA-Economics reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Azerbaijan, which is a key hub along the ancient Silk Road, is an active participant in the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Ke Ketsin stated that with the integration of this initiative and Azerbaijan's Silk Road revitalization strategy, Azerbaijan's locational advantages as a crossroads connecting the Eurasian continent are becoming increasingly prominent. The China-Europe Railway Express is a significant achievement in the joint construction of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative. Over the past 10 years, Zhejiang Province has prioritized and actively promoted it, opening 24 regular routes to Europe, Central Asia, and other destinations with more than 14 thousand trains in operation.
He noted that goods from Zhejiang Province are supplied to more than 50 countries and 160 cities on the Eurasian continent, exporting over 50 thousand products in 26 major categories. Azerbaijan is considered a key hub of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route. Due to effective cooperation and development in improving the efficiency of China-Europe freight trains, organizing cargo receipts, and developing markets, Azerbaijan has become a crucial bridge connecting China to the European market, providing strong support for the development of international trade routes.

Ketsin emphasized that Zhejiang Province is prepared to establish a regular communication mechanism with Azerbaijani state departments, enterprises, and chambers of commerce to deepen mutual cooperation in areas such as the operation of regular trains, the creation of industrial and logistics parks, and the mutual recognition of standards. He mentioned plans to expand comprehensive cooperation in the fields of digital economy, green energy, tourism, and culture.
