London: Viktor Gyokeres scored twice and Bukayo Saka was also on target as Arsenal went six points clear at the top of the Premier League with an easy 3-0 win over Fulham.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the Gunners showed no signs of title nerves as they scored all three goals in a one-sided first half, allowing Mikel Arteta to rest some of his key players in the second period. Arsenal made their initial breakthrough only nine minutes into the match when Saka, making his first start since the EFL Cup final, skillfully turned Raul Jimenez before setting up Gyokeres for a straightforward tap-in.
The Gunners dominated the game and nearly doubled their lead in the 27th minute. Bernd Leno made a crucial save to deny Gyokeres, and Saka missed the follow-up. Although Riccardo Calafiori's header was ruled out for offside following a VAR review, Arsenal managed to double their lead in the 40th minute. Saka scored after Gyokeres demonstrated strong hold-up play.
Gyokeres secured his second goal during first-half stoppage time, converting Leandro Trossard's cross past Leno. Arteta opted to substitute Saka at half-time and also replaced Gyokeres and Declan Rice shortly after the hour mark. Arsenal nearly scored a fourth goal when Calafiori's header was deflected onto the crossbar by Leno.
The victory places Arsenal six points ahead of Manchester City, who have two games in hand, with their next match against Everton on Monday. Fulham remain in 10th place, three points away from the top six.
