Baku: Azerbaijan has reportedly allocated 4.9 million AZN from its state budget last year to participate in the share capital of various international and regional financial institutions.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, this information was included in the annual report on the execution of the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2024, which was discussed at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industries and Enterprising.
Of the total amount allocated, 1.6 million AZN were directed to the Asian Development Bank, 1.3 million AZN to the Islamic Development Bank, and 2 million AZN to the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Additionally, Azerbaijan spent 16.5 million AZN on membership fees to international and regional organizations. This expenditure included 5.4 million AZN for UN-affiliated bodies, programs, and conventions; 1.3 million AZN for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and its institutions; 1.2 million AZN for the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) organizations; and 8.6 million AZN for other international organizations.
