Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan Ministers Discuss Strategic Ties and Regional Stability

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Yermek Kosherbayev during his official visit to Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting commenced with a one-on-one session and expanded to include delegations from both sides, reflecting the strategic relationship between the two nations.

The ministers expressed satisfaction with the current level of strategic relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. They engaged in extensive discussions on issues stemming from these relations and the broader regional situation. Both parties expressed concern over tensions in the Middle East and emphasized the necessity of resolving conflicts diplomatically. The recent ceasefire agreement between Iran and the United States was welcomed as a step toward regional stability.

Minister Bayramov briefed Minister Kosherbayev on the efforts toward normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the reconstruction activities in liberated territories, and the return of formerly displaced persons. Appreciation was conveyed for Kazakhstan's support in building the Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center in Fuzuli.

The discussions also covered bilateral cooperation in various sectors, including economy, trade, energy, industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, technology, and digital sectors. The ministers underscored the importance of the Middle Corridor in enhancing trade between Europe and Asia and acknowledged the significance of joint projects in advancing transit infrastructure and regional connectivity.

Both sides also exchanged views on regional and global security challenges, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and cooperation within regional and international organizations. The meeting concluded with both nations expressing their dedication to further deepening bilateral ties and promoting sustainable development across the region.
