ALMATY – Colonel General Karim Valiyev, the Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army and First Deputy Minister of Defense, recently visited the Koktal training ground in Almaty, Kazakhstan, to observe a tactical episode of the Altyn Kyran – 2024 exercise.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Colonel General Valiyev inspected the training conditions before heading to the command-control point of the exercise. The Altyn Kyran – 2024, also known as Golden Eagle – 2024, is a joint tactical-special exercise involving servicemen from both Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. During his visit, Valiyev also participated in a meeting with servicemen from both nations, acknowledging those who excelled with medals and valuable gifts. It was highlighted that all objectives of the exercise were met with high professionalism.
