BAKU – In a move to support neighboring Turkey, Azerbaijan has dispatched a BE-200CS amphibious aircraft from its Ministry of Emergency Situations, as part of the efforts to combat severe forest fires ravaging parts of Turkey.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the deployment follows a directive from President Ilham Aliyev and is aimed at bolstering Turkey’s capabilities to manage and extinguish the ongoing forest fires. The aircraft, specialized in firefighting, has already begun operations upon its arrival in Turkey, contributing to the international emergency response efforts in affected areas.
