BAKU — The upcoming snap parliamentary election in Azerbaijan, scheduled for September 1, will feature a competitive field of 991 candidates.

According to Trend News Agency, Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), as reported by Trend.

Gasimov highlighted that the ballots, totaling over 6.516 million, have been printed and will present a wide selection to the electorate. This election follows a decree from President Ilham Aliyev on June 28, dissolving the previous parliament and setting the stage for this early vote, aiming to refresh the legislative body and ensure robust representation.
