Aghdam: Azerbaijan has successfully resettled another group of former internally displaced persons (IDPs) to the village of Khidirli in the Aghdam district. The newly relocated residents were formally presented with the keys to their homes during a ceremony, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, representatives from the Special Presidential Representative Office for the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavand districts, along with officials from the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, participated in the event. The speakers at the ceremony congratulated the returning residents, marking a significant day as they return to their native homeland. The ceremony concluded with the official presentation of house keys to the residents of Khidirli.
This relocation marks a significant phase in the resettlement process, with the number of families returning to Khidirli village now reaching 555, totaling 2,195 individuals. The latest relocation caravan has transported 15 families, consisting of 73 people, to the village. These families previously resided in temporary accommodations throughout the republic, including dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
