Resettlement Convoys Reach Khankendi, Khojaly, and Aghdara, Families Receive Keys

Baku: The resettlement convoys dispatched on August 21 have reached the Karkijahan settlement in Khankendi city, as well as various villages in the Khojaly and Aghdara districts. This marks a significant step in the resettlement process for families returning to their native lands.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the convoys arrived in the villages of Badara, Khanyurdu, Khanabad, Ballija, and Tazabina in the Khojaly district. Families who had been temporarily residing in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings across the country are now being resettled in these areas. In this phase, 8 families consisting of 36 people received keys in the Karkijahan settlement of Khankendi city. Additionally, 5 families comprising 13 people were resettled in Badara village, 4 families comprising 10 people in Khanyurdu village, 8 families comprising 31 people in Khanabad village, 3 families comprising 8 people in Ballija village, and 14 families comprising 71 people in Tazabina village.

The ceremony was attended by representatives from the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi city, as well as representatives from the Aghdara and Khojaly districts and the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons. In Aghdara district, 12 families comprising 36 people received keys in Kolatagh village, 6 families comprising 30 people in Hasanriz village, 12 families comprising 49 people in Ashaghi Oratagh village, and 15 families comprising 51 people in Chapar village.

The resettlement process aims to facilitate the return of families to their homelands. The initiative has been a coordinated effort to ensure that those who had been displaced can rebuild their lives in their native regions.
