Baku: Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov met with Georgian Economy Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili during the Georgia-Azerbaijan-Trkiye Trilateral Business Forum. The meeting aimed to explore and enhance bilateral relations between the two nations.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions underscored Georgia's crucial role in promoting regional peace and connectivity. The ministers discussed key areas for trade and economic cooperation, noting the positive developments in bilateral trade relations. Since its inception in 2012, the forum has become an effective platform for advancing trilateral economic cooperation, and both ministers highlighted the diverse Azerbaijan-Georgia economic partnership and the successes achieved through regional projects.

The ministers examined future joint activities to further reinforce business ties and identified priority areas for cooperation, including trade, energy, transport, transit, and other sectors. The ministry highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration in investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture, energy, and communications, with a particular focus on advancing regional projects.

The Georgian delegation provided an overview of transport and logistics infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Middle Corridor and positioning Georgia as a regional transport hub. The discussions also touched on the transportation of oil and gas between the two countries.
