Tbilisi: President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Georgia is an important signal of deepening economic integration in the South Caucasus and strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries, Georgian economist Vakhtang Charaya said in the latest episode of the "Azerbaijan and the World" program broadcast on the AZERTAC website.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan and Georgia are strategic partners not only formally but also in practice, implementing joint projects that are significant both for the region and the broader Eurasian region.
Bilateral cooperation contributes not only to the economic development of the two countries but also to the diversification of markets for European and Asian countries, the expert noted.
He emphasized that, given the ongoing instability in several regions of the world, high-level coordination between Baku and Tbilisi is particularly important. He assessed that such visits form the basis for long-term planning and enable the most effective use of the potential of regional transport and economic corridors.
