CIS mission to observe presidential elections in Azerbaijan

“The Commonwealth of Independent States plans to send its observers to the presidential elections to be held in Azerbaijan and Russia, as well as the parliamentary and local parliamentary elections to be held in Belarus,” the General Secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Sergey Lebedev stated, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

According to him, until now, a written invitation to send an observer mission has been received only from Baku.

Note that extraordinary presidential elections will be held in Azerbaijan on February 7, 2024. The presidential elections are scheduled for March 17 in Russia. Voters of Azerbaijan’s northern neighbor will be able to vote for three days starting from March 15.
