Construction of Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha Road Nears Completion -PHOTO


Baku: The construction of the Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway is nearing completion, APA-Economics reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the length of the existing road is 101 kilometers, whereas the new road measures 81.7 kilometers, making it 19.3 kilometers shorter than the existing one.

The first 48 kilometers of the new highway have been constructed with 6 lanes, exhibiting a technical level I classification, while the remaining 33.7 kilometers consist of 4 lanes. The roadbed measures 29.5 meters in width for the 6-lane section and 21.5 meters for the 4-lane section. Currently, final completion works are progressing throughout the project, which include laying the wear layer of the asphalt-concrete coating.

Additionally, reinforced concrete barriers, curved metal barriers, lighting devices, and road equipment are being installed along the road. The project also involves laying horizontal road marking lines and constructing recreation and parking areas. To ensure timely completion of the pro
ject, the necessary number of personnel and equipment have been mobilized to the construction site.

The Ahmadbeyli-Fuzuli-Shusha highway begins at the M6 Hajigabul-Horadiz-Aghband-Zangazur corridor highway and serves as a crucial connector for the liberated districts of Fuzuli, Khojavand, Khojaly, and Shusha.
