Construction Progress in Zangilan and Jabrayil Nears Completion, Reports Special Representative

Zangilan: Construction work in Zangilan city and Shukurbayli village of the Jabrayil district is nearing completion, according to Vahid Hajiyev, the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Zangilan, Gubadli, and Jabrayil districts. He shared these updates at the ‘Five Years of Victory: Triumph of Statehood and Law’ conference, as reported by APA’s Karabakh bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Hajiyev highlighted ongoing construction efforts in several regions, including Soltanli village in the Jabrayil district, Mahruzlu and Zilanli villages in the Gubadli district, and Jahangirbeyli village in the Zangilan district. He emphasized the transformation of the liberated Karabakh and East Zangezur areas into zones of innovative and sustainable development, where cities and villages that were previously destroyed are being rebuilt.

The developments include the construction of airports, roads, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure, alongside the installation of electricity and water lines. Hajiyev pointed out that this region is setting the stage for a new model of Azerbaijan’s future development. With these advancements, internally displaced persons (IDPs) are returning to their ancestral lands. Former IDPs have already resettled in Aghali and Mammadbeyli villages of the reconstructed Zangilan district, as well as in the 1st residential complex of the city of Jabrayil and Horovlu village.
