Baku: The upcoming COP29 conference in Azerbaijan will feature an expansive Green Zone designed to foster collaboration and innovation among global stakeholders, APA reports. The Green Zone will serve as a key platform for advancing climate action during the conference, which is scheduled to take place in Baku from November 11 to 22.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the 36,000-square-meter Green Zone will host a range of events, including presentations, workshops, and cultural activities. Leading organizations from the public and private sectors will showcase climate-focused products and solutions. The Green Zone will also feature virtual participation options to reduce the need for carbon-intensive travel, extending the conference’s reach worldwide.
Narmin Jarchalova, COP29 Azerbaijan’s Chief Operating Officer, emphasized that the Green Zone offers a unique opportunity for organizations to connect and share ideas aimed at fostering a sustainable future. Meeting spaces and private rooms are now available for booking, with priority given to COP29 partners and exhibitors.
