Baku: In preparation for the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which will be held in Baku from November 11 to 22, the Government of Azerbaijan has launched an online portal to streamline the visa process for attendees. The COP29 Special Visa portal, accessible at www.evisa.gov.az/cop29, is designed to assist dignitaries, delegations, and other guests in obtaining visas for the event, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the portal was developed by the COP29 Azerbaijan Operating Company in collaboration with the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations. It offers a fully digital, paperless process and is available in multiple languages, including English, French, Spanish, and Russian, to accommodate participants from nearly 200 countries. The COP29 Special Visa can be obtained free of charge within three business days, following registration on the UNFCCC platform.
