Baku: During meetings held on the sidelines of London Climate Action Week, the organization of Climate Week for Eastern Europe in Baku was discussed, and initial consultations on the event were held. It was noted that one of the main objectives of Azerbaijan's participation in London Climate Action Week was to launch initial discussions on organizing Climate Week for Eastern Europe, conduct consultations with potential partners, and agree on the main directions of the program.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, as part of London Climate Action Week, Mukhtar Babayev, Representative of the President of Azerbaijan on Climate Issues, met with United Nations Secretary-General Ant³nio Guterres. During the meeting, the Secretary-General highly appreciated the outcomes achieved during COP29 and expressed his satisfaction with the results.

Ant³nio Guterres emphasized that the experience gained by Azerbaijan during its COP29 Presidency is of great importance for future climate processes. He noted the importance of sharing this experience with Trkiye, which will host COP31, as well as with subsequent COP presidencies. The meeting highlighted Azerbaijan's active role in advancing the global climate agenda.

It was noted that the country continues to put forward initiatives within international climate negotiations and multilateral cooperation platforms following COP29, contributing to stronger global climate action. The sides exchanged views on combating climate change, expanding international cooperation, and integrating the legacy of COP29 into future climate processes. They emphasized that Azerbaijan's experience in climate diplomacy serves as a valuable model for the international community.
