FM Jeyhun Bayramov Says Azerbaijan Always Stands with Pakistan in Fight Against Terrorism

Islamabad: On February 7, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a telephone conversation with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, during the call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov condemned the terrorist attack at a mosque in Islamabad and extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as well as the government and people of Pakistan. He assured that Azerbaijan consistently supports Pakistan in its battle against terrorism.

The discussion addressed various aspects of the partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, including issues stemming from agreements between the two countries and regional security matters.

Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar received the phone call from the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, as shared by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on their X account, APA reports. FM Bayramov conveyed condolences on behalf of the President, government, and people of Azerbaijan, offering prayers for the victims of the Islamabad blast and expressing solidarity with Pakistan. Condemning the attack strongly, DPM / FM Dar reiterated Pakistan's commitment to combat terrorism.

Both leaders also examined current regional and international developments of mutual interest and reaffirmed the enduring partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan.
