On July 3, the Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Prime Minister Ali Asadov held a meeting dedicated to the elimination of consequences of deluges and floods of June 30. Ali Asadov stated that, unlike previous years, in May-June this year, weather conditions in some regions of the country were unstable, precipitation increased, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas, showers were "intense and strong". In June, in most regions of the country, as a result of floods, the water level on a number of rivers grew, deluges occurred. "In the regions where the natural disaster occurred, necessary and urgent measures were taken, special equipment and forces brought to the places. As a result of the work done, the rivers entered their channels, the eroded and destroyed road infrastructure restored," the press service of the government reports. Measures are being taken to assess the damage caused by the natural disaster to private homes, private plots, including agricultural land and farms, as well as infrastructure. The importance of improving the early warning system implemented by the National Hydrometeorological Service in connection with unstable weather conditions was emphasized.
