Baku: The International Energy Agency (IEA) has released its forecast for Azerbaijan’s oil and liquid hydrocarbon production from 2025 to 2030. The agency’s ‘Oil 2025: Analysis and Forecast to 2030’ report outlines the expected changes in daily production levels over the specified period.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the IEA report projects an average daily production of 590 thousand barrels in 2025, marking a decrease of 10 thousand barrels from the 2024 figure. The forecast further predicts that daily production will rise to 620 thousand barrels in 2026, before entering a phase of gradual decline. The report details that production is expected to fall to 600 thousand barrels in 2027, 580 thousand barrels in 2028, 560 thousand barrels in 2029, and eventually reach 550 thousand barrels by 2030.
The forecast suggests a temporary increase in production next year, followed by a steady reduction in output over the subsequent years. This trend indicates shifting dynamics in Azerbaijan’s liquid hydrocarbon sector as the decade progresses.
