Astana: Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Erlan Akkenzhenov engaged in discussions with U.S. Secretary of the Interior and Chair of the Energy Dominance Council, Doug Burgum, focusing on strategic energy cooperation and the stable operation of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) as a key export route. The conversation aimed at enhancing joint project implementation, according to Kazakhstan’s Energy Ministry.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions reviewed the progress of major joint projects and outlined plans for further development of oil fields. Particular emphasis was placed on oil transportation issues, specifically ensuring the stable and reliable operation of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC). This pipeline is essential for the export of oil, highlighting its importance in the strategic energy partnership.
Minister Akkenzhenov emphasized the role of U.S. companies as key partners in Kazakhstan’s flagship projects, including Tengiz, Karachaganak, and Kashagan. He noted these projects are significant assets in the global portfolios of American partners, underscoring Kazakhstan’s strategic importance in ensuring global energy stability. This reflects the successful and mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States.
