Kumtor Gold Company CJSC transferred 20,489 billion soms to the state budget for nine months of 2023. Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev announced at a joint meeting of the parliamentary factions Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan, Ishenim and Mekenchil parliamentary group.

According to him, of this, gross income tax is 7,317 billion soms, and deductions for the development of the mineral resource base are 132 million.

The Issyk-Kul Development Fund received 537 million soms, the Naryn Region Development Fund — 322 million, and fees for environment pollution — 26 million.

Almaz Baketaev noted that Kumtor Gold Company paid 34,751 billion soms to the state budget at the end of 2022. But he noted that Kumtor’s tax figures this year may be lower than last year, since in 2022 the enterprise one-time transferred 16,849 billion soms to the budget in the form of a payment for the development of the mineral resource base, which it had not previously paid.
