It is proposed to fine for the use of the state flag and the national emblem that are tattered, discolored and not meeting the technical standards in Kyrgyzstan. Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Chingiz Makeshov presented the bill at a meeting of the Committee on Budget, Economic and Fiscal Policy of the Parliament.

According to him, the amount of monetary penalty for individuals will be 3,000 soms, for legal entities — 13,000 soms.

«In most cases, the national emblem and flag of Kyrgyzstan are made in China. There are standards according to the law, but they are not observed. Therefore, we propose to provide punishment for violation of the requirements of the law on state symbols,» Chingiz Makeshov said.

MP Sultanbai Aizhigitov believes that responsibility should be provided only for manufacturers and those responsible for the state symbols.

Having considered the bill, the committee members supported it in the first reading.
