National Data Pool Established in Azerbaijan to Enhance Digital Services

Baku: A National Data Pool has been established in Azerbaijan, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said at the first meeting of the Digital Development Council held on June 29 under the chairmanship of First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister provided information on the establishment of the National Data Pool and emphasized the ongoing efforts to migrate state information systems to the government cloud and construct a new data center. This initiative is a part of the broader digital transformation strategy being implemented across the country.

The minister highlighted that the scope of services available through the "mygov" platform has been significantly expanded, with the number of users increasing from 2.7 million to 3.5 million over the past three months. Several applications have already been integrated into the platform, and the services of another seven state applications are expected to be made available to citizens by the end of the year.

Minister Nabiyev also underscored that one of the key priorities of the action plan is artificial intelligence. He noted that AI solutions are being increasingly utilized across the "mygov" platform and other state institutions, with the launch of a virtual citizen assistant marking a significant milestone in the country's digital development efforts.
